Catchphrases used by artists and art critics are taken up and mixed together with refrain-style repeated questions about and judgments of art. The enigmatic language of the one is confronted with the doubt and rejection of the other.
The organ pipes repeat the rhythm of the sentences in a tristrophic order. For the iconoclasts, there is no doubt: “Art is always wrong.”
