“Of all Odysseus’ adventures, the encounter with the sirens was perhaps the most unsettling […] Sirens Low quotes the text from Homer’s “Odyssey”. The organ pipes repeat the rhythmic pattern at a slowed pace. The character of the tones also makes them refer to the ships and boats shown in the video. The flow [we see the Elbe River] begins smoothly and harmoniously, then it stalls and the ships falter.”
